You've come to the right place. We all left the JW's for association with people who do not put goofy conditions on friendship. There is so much to learn about what is really going on with the organization. There is a terrible worldwide coverup of child abuse, see YouTube videos on Australian Royal Commission.

The salesman sold a belt to Toulouse Lautrec. When he put it on it was a bit small so he asked him, "Is that belt too tight Toulouse?"

I bought a set of drums but didn't get any drumsticks. Of course I bolted them together because as you know, "If you can't beat'em, join em."

Tight pants dilemma solved
by rebel8 inthe principles that we glean from god’s word should move us to avoid wearing clothing that is tight-fitting, revealing, or sexually provocative.
that would rule out wearing clothing that exposes or accentuates private parts of our anatomy.
nobody should feel uncomfortable or forced to look the other way when seeing how we are dressed.

Has this quote on hatred been true in your experience with JW's?
by Wasanelder Once ini came upon this quote relating to the results of hatred: .
"i imagine one of the reasons people cling to their hates so stubbornly is because they sense, once hate is gone, they will be forced to deal with pain.
has your hatred of the organization been an effort to avoid dealing with your pain?

What do you think? Has your hatred of the organization been an effort to avoid dealing with your pain? I'm not so sure its true in my experience. I have not let hatred consume me in regards to the Organization.
Isn't some hatred justified considering the pain, suffering and death they have authored by the crazy BS they have enforced on people? I do think some are blinded by their all encompassing hatred, not aware how much it has stunted them. What say you? How has it been for you?

I guess you guys never studied "God's Eternal Purpose Now Triumphing: for Man's Good" the book. We studious ones learned that God does not have "Plans", he has a purpose. Plans may go awry, all the very things you mentioned in the OP for example, but Jehoobie has a purpose that will triumph as he makes it circumvent these attacks of Satan to stop him, i.e: the unfaithfulness of the Israelite's, and the influence of Satanic worship etc. He has been guarding his purpose all these millennia. Truly an amazing God. Oh, wait... I think that orange book from 1974 is old light these days... You live and you learn.

Humans brought to Earth, not native to it.

i thought some points on the claim were interesting.

God wipes out humans/wickedness in Noah's Flood but somehow wickedness returns
by RULES & REGULATIONS ingenesis 6: 9-139 this is the account of noah and his family.noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with god.
10 noah had three sons: shem, ham and japheth.11 now the earth was corrupt in god’s sight and was full of violence.12 god saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways.
13 so god said to noah, “i am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them.

The explanation I was given was that there "was nothing they couldn't do." This could include nuclear weapons long before the issue of sovereignty was resolved resulting in man made destruction of life on earth. But I thought that was always the point, let man go his way without Jehoobiedoo and see what happens. Such a bullshit religion.

The challenge wasn't to limit to one reason, just one sentence. Some evidently still have a rebellious streak! lol
Congrats to all for participation.

Follow up on my question yesterday about being df'd for being disrespectful to elders.
by longgone ini really have appreciated the suggestions on how to respond to the elders recent behavior of attempting to find a way to disfellowship me and trying to push their way into my home by force.
thank you it's been most helpful to see many different perspectives.. the following post is lengthy as i'm also addressing a related topic to anyone reading this site who is not a witness but even considering joining.
you will see once again how the jw religion destroys families for their own members, those who try to leave quietly, and even the family members who were raised in it yet were never baptized.

We all make choices. I'm sure your dad made this choice long before he was 90. Don't be so hard on yourself. Sure it could be better, Israel and the Palestinians could be good neighbors too, but that ain't happening either. I would just get used to it. Count your blessings. Poor old guy doesn't know what he's missing. get the manager to post the "keep out sign" and put JW's on it. If its signed "the management" you're off the hook.
